BHI v Melbourne je jedným z austrálskych popredných viacúčelových inštitútov systému TAFE (Technical and Further Education – Technické a ďalšie vzdelávanie), ktorý sa môže popýšiť tým, že zabezpečuje široké spektrum programov odborného vzdelávania a výcviku. Inštitút sídli v štyroch hlavných areáloch, ktoré sa nachádzajú neďaleko hlavného obchodného centra Melbourne. Študijné pobyty
Riadne denné štúdium, podmienkou prijatia je ukončených 10 rokov školskej dochádzky pre certifikátový kurz a ukončené stredoškolské vzdelanie maturitou pre diplomový kurz a bakalárske štúdium. Pre všetky kurzy je požadovaná vstupná úroveň angličtiny IELTS 5,5 – 6,0 bodov alebo ekvivalent tejto medzinárodnej skúšky.

Priemerný počet študentov v triede je 16, maximálne 18. Kurzy angličtiny sú organizované v 10-týždňových moduloch a zahŕňajú výučbu všeobecnej angličtiny (základná, nižšia stredná a stredná úroveň) a angličtiny pre akademické účely (vyššia stredná a pokročilá úroveň), nástupné termíny každých 5 týždňov.
